Initiatives...
Groups are guided through a series of problem solving activities during which team members must communicate with one another to solve initiatives that may, at first, appear unachievable. These activities, using a wide range of props, require the creative sharing of each group member's resources.
Low Rope Elements
Elements constructed of rope, cables, and wood present a series of individual and group challenges. These elements give participants the
responsibility of "spotting" and develop comfort while moving several feet off the ground.
High Rope Elements Once the supportive group atmosphere is established, activities culminate in a series of extreme personal challenges. Participation in these elements is optional (The Adirondack Center operates under the philosophy of "challenge by choice" - participants choose to engage only those elements they feel comfortable doing). Using the safety of a belay system, many levels of success may be attained.
